What is Taevo Publishing?
Taevo Publishing is a book publishing company. Mainly a digital publishing company, which means our primary and initial focus of distribution is e-books (and audiobooks very soon). We publish both fiction and nonfiction books in all major genres. We strive to provide our readers with the best books possible, and we work hard to give our authors the support they need to produce exceptional books.
How do I submit my manuscript for publishing consideration?
Authors without a literary agent, you can submit your manuscript directly via our submissions guidelines page.
Literary agents can submit queries from the literary agent page or by emailing us via our contact form.
Do you charge any fees?
No, we do not charge any fees to publish books.
Like all traditional book publishing companies, we earn a profit when we sell books to readers through our distribution channels and marketing campaigns.
Do you offer advances?
Yes. We offer a small advance on royalties. For authors included in an anthology please see our “Anthology Royalty Rates” information.
How much will I earn in royalties?
We pay our authors 40% net royalties. That means 40% of profits received from the author’s book sales or licensing revenue after publishing costs are recouped is paid directly to the author.
If we earn $10,000 in royalties for your book, you get paid 40% of that amount, or $4,000.
If we earn $5,000 for a 5-year deal to license Spanish language rights for your book, you earn 40%, or $2,000.
For every dollar your book brings in, you get close to half. That’s all there is to it.

What services do you provide?
All book publishing and marketing services are free for our authors. We do not offer paid services for self-publishing authors.
We are a full-service publishing company dedicated to helping you build your author brand and promote your books consistently for the purpose of generating passive income long-term.

Where is Taevo Publishing located?
Taevo Publishing is currently headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, but our team works remotely from various locations across the globe. Please note that we absolutely DO NOT accept paper submissions (we’re environmentally friendly here). To submit your manuscript, please follow our submission guidelines.
Will I still own the rights to my book?
Yes, you will still own the copyright to your book when you publish with Taevo Publishing. If we decide to publish your book, you simply grant us an exclusive license to publish the book for a term of five years.
Does my book have to be professionally edited?
Yes. Prior to submission, please make sure your manuscript is edited. If it looks poorly written, our reading brains get offended. Please try to show that you at least made the effort to get your manuscript as presentable and readable as possible.
Will my book be available in international markets?
Yes. To maximize exposure, we make every attempt to ensure your book will be available all over the world in the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Japan, and many other countries via Amazon and other distribution channels.
In addition, we actively market our titles to international publishers year-round.

Do you accept submissions for books that were previously published?
Yes. Second serial (or reprint) rights are our FAVORITE to license since it shows us that you already have some sort of existing platform. If you have previously self-published your book or had a different publisher, you can switch to Taevo Publishing, assuming you still own the rights to your work.
If you self-published your book, you could switch to us right away if we offer you a book deal. Our first – and VIP – author switched from self-publishing to Taevo Publishing, and we can make the process quick, easy, and painless for you as well.
If you published your book with another publisher, you will need to check your publishing contract to make sure you still own the rights to your work. If you have questions about whether or not a previous publisher controls the rights to your work, you should reread your publishing contract in detail, contact your publisher, and/or contact your attorney. We do not do that for you.
How do I submit a manuscript for publishing?
You can submit your manuscript for review on our submissions guidelines page.
You will need to email us your typed manuscript in digital format. We prefer Microsoft Word files in .doc or .docx format or a PDF. No Google doc files, please.
If your manuscript was typed on a typewriter or handwritten, you will need to get your manuscript typed into a word processor on a computer. NOTE: We do not accept physical manuscript submissions sent by mail.
Do you accept unsolicited manuscripts?
No. If you wish to submit a manuscript outside of the times we announce that we are open to accepting submissions, please send a query letter with only the FIRST PAGE of your manuscript.
